I recently spent a month on an offshore oil rig in the middle of the Caspian Sea, working on some very heavy machinery. During my month on the platform, I tested out Qualia Focus to see whether or not this nootropic would give me the clarity, improved memory and drive that it claims to give. And as the title suggests, this has been the most relaxed I have ever been while on any of the nootropics that I have tried.
Now the reason that I mention that I was working on an oil rig is to hopefully give you a picture of the setting that I was in. For anyone that has ever worked on an oil rig, or knows somebody that does, you know how stressful it can be. Strict working routines, for long hours every single day with two shifts ensuring that there are always people working on certain tasks 24 hours a day. Oil rigs have a high emphasis on safety due to the high risks associated with the nature of the work. To give you an example of how bad it can get, one of the largest disasters on an oil platform was Piper Alpha in the North Sea, off the coast of Scotland where 167 people died. In brief, the disaster happened due to an improper handover between shifts. Instead of the handover being directly discussed between the two shifts, documents were left for the incoming shift describing what had been done and what was still to be done. This obviously did not go well, as the outgoing shift missed some vital information about the job they had done which resulted in a high pressure gas leak on the platform. The highly pressurised gas ignited before the alarms gave anyone on the platform a chance to evacuate on the lifeboats. Within almost an hour, nearly the entire platform was destroyed by the blaze and the structure was swallowed up by the sea, along with many of the people working on it. Only 61 of the 228 people on board survived. So you can imagine how 4 weeks on one of these potential fireballs can feel. Everything needs to be done with extreme clarity and mental awareness because the results of an error can cost you your life and the lives of many other people.
With this understanding, I try to make sure that I have supplements with me that allow me to keep calm, collected and to ensure that I am doing my part to ensure that nothing goes wrong. And for those 30 days, I can confidently say that Qualia Focus kept me the most relaxed and clear than I have ever been on any supplement. It felt like I was aware all the time, I could think clearly and I could remember everything I needed to remember. I was in a zone of total control over my thoughts which means I wasn’t so easily distracted from my work. So what is Qualia Focus?
Qualia Focus is produced by Neurohacker Collective and is scientifically formulated with high purity nootropics to support the production of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) which helps support the survival of existing neurons and encourages the growth and differentiation of new neurons and synapses in the brain. The supplement comprises of completely vegetarian capsules which should be taken once a day with food, preferably 2 capsules in the morning with breakfast. It is recommended to be taken 5 days a week, but I took it everyday while on the platform and the results remained as good at the end of the 30 days as they were in the first week.
So who is Qualia Focus for? Supplements like Qualia Focus are meant for everyone, but those who will benefit the most are people that work in high pressure, highly stressful, anxiety inducing jobs. Students in university under pressure from assignments and exams can also benefit from the calming and focussing effects of the supplement. It's easy to take and easy to obtain at a reasonable price of $32.50 or £35 in the UK for a 4 week supply. If you buy a Starbucks every day to wake yourself up, you are better off saving your money and using this supplement instead. It's cheaper in the long run and the effects are far more satisfying.
This is definitely a great buy and one that I will keep using until something better comes along.
